Emilia Auto was a German restomod specialist that in the early 2020s reimagined the classic 1960s Alfa Romeo Giulia GT Coupe as the GT Veloce. The company removed the original body panels and mounted a new steel space-frame with integrated roll-bar, and fitted carbon-fiber doors, hood, fenders, bumpers, and other components. The coupe retained its iconic silhouette, but was reshaped for improved aerodynamics, featuring LED lighting, wider arches, and updated styling touches. Under the revamped sheet metal, Emilia Auto transplanted the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission from the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, along with its electronically controlled differential, Brembo brakes, and traction control. The upgraded drivetrain delivered over 500 horsepower (circa 505–510 hp) with around 600 Nm of torque, driving all four wheels. To handle the power, the car was equipped with a fully independent suspension setup—double wishbones at the front, multi-link rear, and KW coilovers—plus adaptive steering. The restomod achieved a dry weight near 1,250 kg. Emilia Auto limited the GT Veloce to a 22-unit production run, with deliveries anticipated in late 2022 and a base price set at approximately €400,000. Despite some press attention and pre-orders, the project remained niche and focused solely on fulfilling the limited production series.
