Favel

Favel was a French automobile manufacturer that operated between 1941 and 1944, based in Marseille. The name "Favel" was an acronym for Fabrication de Véhicules Automobiles Électriques Légers, which reflected the company's focus on producing lightweight electric vehicles during a time of significant fuel shortages in wartime France.

The Favel car was designed as a two-door coupe, accommodating up to five passengers, which was relatively spacious compared to other electric vehicles of the era. However, the production and sales of Favel cars were largely limited to the Marseille region, indicating a localized market presence.

The company ceased operations shortly after the end of World War II, and as a result, Favel remains a lesser-known name in the history of automotive manufacturing in France.
