Favel, whose name stood for Fabrication de Véhicules Automobiles Électriques Légers, was a French manufacturer based in Marseilles that assembled small electric vehicles in its workshops. Like other manufacturers of the period, it turned to electric propulsion in response to wartime petrol shortages, and its sales were largely confined to the area around Marseilles with little distribution beyond the region.
