Facel Vega was a French luxury car manufacturer that grew out of Facel SA, based in Pont-à-Mousson. The company name derived from Forges et Ateliers de Construction d'Eure et de Loire, a firm founded in 1938 by Jean Daninos, brother of the writer Pierre Daninos.
