Automobiles Dumont was a French automobile manufacturer that operated briefly between 1912 and 1913, based in Asnières, Seine. The company specialized in producing light cars, with a notable model featuring a large single-cylinder engine displacing 1334 cc.

One of the distinctive characteristics of Dumont vehicles was their innovative friction drive system. The engine was mounted transversely, and at each end of the crankshaft, a steel disc rotated. A friction disc was positioned across the faces of these discs, allowing for a total of ten forward speeds. Power was transmitted from each disc through a long propeller shaft to bevel gears, facilitating the vehicle's movement.
