Cote was a French automobile manufacturer that operated in the early 20th century. The company, officially known as Ste des Automobiles et Motcurs Cote, was established in 1900 in Saint-Dizier, Haut-Marne. It initially produced a limited number of vehicles, with its first model being a voiturrette powered by a 3-horsepower, 2-cylinder horizontal engine, featuring spur-gear drive and tiller steering.
In 1908, the brand re-emerged with a new lineup that included cars equipped with 2- and 4-cylinder 2-stroke engines. These vehicles were generally conventional in design, differing primarily in their engine configurations. By 1912, Cote had expanded its offerings to six models, ranging from 4 to 18 horsepower. However, production dwindled, and only two models were available in 1913, which marked the final year of the company's operations. These last models included a 1.1-litre 8/17CV and a 2.1-litre 16/28CV. The brand ultimately ceased production shortly thereafter, leaving behind a brief but notable presence in the automotive industry.
