Coste Engineering was a French automotive manufacturer founded by Jacques Alain Coste, based in Pineuilh. The company gained attention in the early 1990s with the development of the M6 Turbo prototype, which was introduced in 1993. This model was a coupé featuring a removable roof and drew inspiration from the Ferrari P4 racing car.

The initial production model, known as the C1, closely resembled the Ferrari P4 and was equipped with a centrally mounted Renault V6 engine, with an option for turbocharging. In 1996, the C1 was succeeded by the C2, which, while less visually similar to the P4, was powered by a Ford 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine. The C2 was marketed as a more affordable alternative to the C1, appealing to a different segment of the automotive market.

Coste Engineering offered both kits and complete cars for sale, catering to enthusiasts and those interested in building their own vehicles. Despite its innovative designs and engineering, the company did not achieve widespread recognition in the automotive industry.
