Borderel & Cail was a French automobile manufacturer that operated in the early 20th century. The company originated from the Societe Cail, which was established as a pioneer in locomotive construction in 1846. Based in Denain, Nord, France, the firm transitioned from railway engineering to automobile production in the early 1900s.

In 1905, Borderel & Cail introduced a large six-wheeled limousine designed by F. Gros. This vehicle was notable for its innovative design, featuring a 15/18 horsepower four-cylinder engine that powered the center axle, while both the front and rear wheels were capable of steering. The following year, at the 1906 Paris Salon, the company showcased a similar model equipped with a more powerful 25/30 horsepower engine. By 1907, they launched a conventional four-wheeled car that utilized a 30 horsepower four-cylinder monobloc engine, marking their continued development in the automotive sector.

Despite their early innovations, Borderel & Cail's production was relatively short-lived, and the company eventually ceased operations. Their contributions to early automotive engineering, however, remain a part of France's automotive history.
