Bleriot

Blériot Aéronautique was a French company based in Suresnes, Seine, founded in 1909 by Louis Blériot. Blériot achieved lasting recognition on 25 July 1909, when he became the first person to fly across the English Channel, piloting a monoplane of his own design and construction.

The company's aeroplane production grew substantially during World War I, to the extent that a British factory was established at Addlestone, Surrey, to manufacture both Blériot and Spad aircraft.

Alongside its aviation work, the Suresnes factory also produced a limited number of cyclecars, powered by 8/10 hp two-cylinder two-stroke engines with shaft drive.
