Auge was a French automobile manufacturer established in 1899 by Daniel Auge et Cie, located in Levallois-Perret, Seine. The company gained attention at the 1899 Paris Salon for its range of engines, which were noted for their simple yet robust design. The engines were primarily 2-cylinder horizontal units known as Cyclops (or Cyclope), named after the one-eyed giant from mythology, due to their unique ignition system that utilized platinum tubes heated by a single lamp.

In its early years, Auge produced vehicles that featured electric ignition starting in 1899. The transmission system employed a belt to a countershaft, which then transferred power to the rear wheels via chains. Over time, the company expanded its engine offerings to include models with power outputs of 4.5, 5, 7, or 8 horsepower, available in both horizontal and vertical configurations. Among the various body styles produced was a 3-seater known as the "troika."

One surviving example of an Auge vehicle has a frontal bonnet and resembles cars from around 1904, although it is likely a modernized version of an earlier model. The company ceased operations around 1901, marking a brief but notable presence in the early automotive industry.
