Arid was a French microcar manufacturer active from 1983 to 1985, based in Annecy-le-Vieux, France. The company is best known for its model, the Arid Hopi, which was designed by the creator of the SUNCAR.

The Arid Hopi featured a distinctive boxy cabriolet design, which was characteristic of many microcars of its era. It was powered by a rear-mounted 125cc Sachs engine, providing a compact and efficient driving experience. The vehicle was equipped with MacPherson strut front suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, contributing to its handling and safety.

Despite its innovative design and engineering, Arid's production was short-lived, and the company ceased operations after just two years.
