Automobiles Ardex was a French automobile manufacturer based in Nanterre, Seine, active during the mid-1930s. Founded around 1934, the company specialized in producing small three-wheeled vehicles that bore a resemblance to the Morgan cars of the time, although they were noted for having less performance. The vehicles were powered by either two-stroke or four-stroke motorcycle engines, all of which had displacements of under 500cc.
In 1937, Ardex announced the development of a four-wheeled model featuring a streamlined body design. This vehicle was marketed as the most affordable car in France at the time, priced at 5,500 francs. However, production of Ardex cars was very limited, taking place in a small workshop in Nanterre. The company operated under a unique demonstration schedule, allowing potential customers to view the vehicles only on Mondays and Saturdays.
