R.A.F. (Reichenberger Automobil-Fabrik) was founded in 1907 in Rosenthal near Reichenberg, Northern Bohemia (now Liberec, Czech Republic), by racing driver and textile manufacturer Theodor Freiherr von Liebieg together with partners Alfred Ginzkey and Oscar von Klinger. Liebieg, born 15 June 1872, had inherited his father's textile works at 21 and was an early automobile enthusiast, competing in races in Vienna, Leipzig, Berlin, and Nice, and driving from Reichenberg to Rheims…
