Gnom was an automobile manufacturer based in Senov, near Nový Jičín, in what is now the Czech Republic. The company was founded in 1906 by hat-maker Fritz Huckel and locksmith Otto Kloss. They produced a light passenger car featuring a 4-cylinder air-cooled engine that generated 10 horsepower, allowing the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 14 mph (22 km/h). This model bore similarities to the voiturette of the A type produced by Laurin & Klement.
After a hiatus during World War I, Gnom resumed car production in 1922. During its second phase of operation, the company assembled approximately one or two cars annually until it ceased production in 1936. Unfortunately, no technical specifications or detailed records of the vehicles produced during this period have survived, leaving a limited legacy of the brand's contributions to the automotive industry.
