Czech automobile manufacturer Ccska Automobilova Spolecnost (CAS) was established in 1921 and was based in Prague. The company was founded by the Růžička brothers, who were both machine engineers. Initially, CAS focused on the construction and production of motorcycles and scooters.

In 1922, CAS expanded its offerings by producing its first four-wheeled, two-seater cyclecar. This vehicle featured a steel frame and was powered by a Coventry-Victor 689cc air-cooled flat-twin engine located at the front. Over time, CAS incorporated domestic Walter twin-cylinder engines into its vehicles, further diversifying its product lineup. The company played a role in the early automotive industry in Czechoslovakia, contributing to the development of small, economical vehicles during its operational years.
