Fenghuang was an automobile brand produced by Shanghai Auto Works in Shanghai Municipality, China, from 1958 to 1964. The brand's name translates to "Phoenix," reflecting a theme of rebirth and renewal. The first prototype of a Fenghuang vehicle was unveiled in November 1958, showcasing design influences from American cars, particularly the Plymouth.

In January 1959, an American-styled version of the Fenghuang was introduced, featuring dual headlights, heavy bumpers, and a full-width grille. This model, identified by the registration number 3*00691, is notable for being captured in a single photograph that has circulated with various backgrounds over the years.

The production of Fenghuang vehicles culminated in 1960 with the release of a final version based on the Mercedes-Benz 220. A total of 13 saloons were produced during this period. In 1964, the brand was renamed and became known as the Shanghai SH 760, which continued to be manufactured without significant changes until 1974.
