Fisher Motor Car Co. Ltd was established in Walkerville, Ontario, in 1914, following the failure of the Tudhope Motor Company in the summer of 1913. The company was led by Frank E. Fisher, a former manager at Canadian Studebaker, and it focused on assembling vehicles based on Tudhope designs.
The primary models produced by Fisher included the 4-36 and 6-48, which were manufactured in the Tudhope factory located in Orillia, Ontario. Although there were intentions to construct a larger factory in Walkerville, these plans were never realized. Production ceased once the available stock of Tudhope components was depleted.
After the cessation of automobile manufacturing, the factory was repurposed for war work until 1918. Subsequently, it continued to operate as a small-scale supplier of automotive accessories until 1928.
