Proton Design Ltda. was a Brazilian manufacturer founded in 1980 by Pedro Barbosa Virginio Onofre in Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará. The company was established to build vehicles for competition and recreational use, and it also produced fiberglass items such as furniture, playground equipment, and lamp stands.
