Berlineta was a Brazilian specialist sports-car project developed in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. Conceived as a Brazilian competition car, it was designed around a tubular steel chassis, fiberglass bodywork with carbon-fibre components, and a mid-mounted engine with rear-wheel drive. The project was created with production feasibility in mind and was intended for possible small-series manufacture.
The car was presented as a compact, lightweight berlinette with an estimated weight of 850 kg and a structure capable of accepting different engine and transmission combinations. Engineering and design work was associated with MICLA, and the next planned step in 2017 was to present the project to potential investors and manufacturing partners in Brazil and Europe for an initial production run.
