Company Name: Ste Belge des Automobiles Sizaire

Place: Brussels

Country: Belgium

Belga Rise was a Belgian automobile manufacturer that operated from 1928 to 1937. The company was established in Brussels by Georges Sizaire and Richard Thielen, who served as the Belgian agent for Sizaire Frères, a French automotive firm. The formation of Belga Rise coincided with the cessation of French production, allowing the company to produce vehicles based on Sizaire designs.

The vehicles produced by Belga Rise featured a distinctive Rolls-Royce-style radiator and were branded under the Belga Rise name, which was licensed from Sizaire. The company utilized a variety of engines, initially employing a 6-cylinder Willys-Knight engine, and later incorporating engines from Hotchkiss, Miner Continental, and Talbot, including straight-8 configurations. Notably, despite the design's reputation for all-round independent suspension, Belga Rise opted for a rigid rear axle starting in 1932.

Belga Rise offered conventional 3-speed and 4-speed pre-selector gearboxes in their vehicles. In 1936, the company produced 35 six-wheeled reconnaissance cars for the Belgian Army, marking a significant contribution to military vehicle production. Today, at least one Belga Rise vehicle, a Talbot-engined saloon, is preserved and displayed at the Autoworld Museum in Brussels.
