Groffi-Werke AG was an Austrian automobile manufacturer based in Atzgersdorf, operational from 1921 to 1927. The company initially focused on producing its own vehicles, starting with a 12/45 PS six-cylinder car.
In 1925, Groffi-Werke AG acquired a license to manufacture Amilcar vehicles for the Austrian market. This partnership allowed the company to utilize the 1074 cc engine in various models. Among these were a four-seater tourer based on the Amilcar CGS and a two-seater sports car derived from the lowered chassis of the CGS model. The sports car, known as the AG1, was notable for its optional supercharged version, which increased its power output from 20 to as much as 50 bhp.
Groffi vehicles achieved recognition in sporting events, contributing to the brand's reputation during its brief existence. However, the company ceased operations in 1927, marking the end of its automotive production.
