CopyCatCars was an Australian specialist replica-car business run by Denis Bedford in Queensland. Active during the 2000s and into the following decade, it produced low-volume fibreglass-bodied sports-car projects and body or chassis packages for enthusiasts. The business was best known for replicas of the Jaguar XJ13 and Jaguar XJ220, two of the most ambitious subjects attempted by an Australian kit-car builder of the period.
CopyCatCars also drew on Bedford’s earlier experience in Australia’s replica and kit-car industry and was associated with a broader range of niche sports-car projects, including GT40- and Cobra-related work. Its cars were built in very small numbers and were aimed at private buyers seeking visually faithful recreations of otherwise unobtainable high-performance models.
