At the 2025 Fuori Concorso at Villa Grumello on Lake Como, Bovensiepen officially debuted its first model: the Bovensiepen Zagato. This new Gran Turismo marks the launch of the Bovensiepen brand and brings together German engineering from Buchloe and Italian design from Milan-based coachbuilder Zagato.
The Bovensiepen Zagato is a two-door coupe that emphasizes precision and proportion. Designed by Zagato, the exterior features hallmark elements of Milanese coachbuilding, including an elongated bonnet, frameless retractable windows, and the distinctive “Double Bubble” roof. The body is constructed almost entirely from carbon fibre, and includes a stainless steel front grille, integrated rear spoiler, and sculpted air outlets.
Each vehicle is assembled by hand at Bovensiepen’s facility in Bavaria. The production process requires over 250 working hours and incorporates more than 400 bespoke components. The coachbuilding tradition is underlined by the use of a patronymic badge—an historical practice for Zagato that has been applied to collaborations since the 1920s.
Power is provided by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine producing 611 horsepower and 700 newton-metres of torque. The car accelerates from zero to one hundred kilometres per hour in 3.3 seconds and exceeds a top speed of 300 kilometres per hour. Development included extensive testing on both bench and road, with a focus on refined power delivery and high-speed stability.
The chassis is equipped with adaptive Damptronic dampers developed in partnership with Bilstein, offering three selectable modes: Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus. Forged 20-inch aluminium wheels were designed to reduce unsprung mass and feature complex machining to optimize both performance and appearance. A titanium exhaust system developed with Akrapovič reduces weight and back pressure, and contributes to the vehicle’s acoustic profile.
Inside, the Bovensiepen Zagato blends handcrafted detail with integrated technology. The infotainment display is set within a full-leather dashboard, accompanied by aluminium shift paddles and a hand-stitched Lavalina leather steering wheel. The seats feature a longitudinal stripe motif and a modern GT profile, combining visual reference to traditional touring cars with contemporary ergonomic support.
Each car can be tailored extensively through the Bovensiepen Bespoke program. Lavalina leather is available in sixteen standard colours, with custom options available on request. Customers can combine leather with Alcantara from a selection of forty-five shades. A full Lavalina interior requires over 130 hours of craftsmanship by trained saddlers.
The Bovensiepen Zagato will be available in limited numbers. First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026. Production volume and pricing will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2025.
