Puritalia teases Shelby Cobra-inspired 427 - AllCarIndex
Puritalia is a new Italian sportscar brand which is set to uncover its first model - the 427 at the end of June. As the company name suggest the company is pure Italian. However, the new car is inspired by the classic lines of the iconic american 1965 Shelby Cobra. This newcomer will be a lightweight two-seater roadster and Puritalia has been developing it for the last two years. The 427 is intended to combine both driving pleasure and comfort. It will feature an aluminium frame with steel reinforcements and a bodywork made of composite materials as well as carbon fibre. Mounted longitudinally in front Under the hood of the first Puritalia's model will be a V8 engine developing 445 hp and 417 Nm of torque. For those customers wishing even more power a supercharged version with 605 horses will be available under special request. No matter which option, the power will be transmitted to rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The company has not announced production quantity of price tag yet, but further details will be revealed very soon.
