5 March 2019 - As part of the Geneva International Motor Show at Palexpo, the new Russian luxury cars AURUS SENAT Limousine L700 and AURUS SENAT S600 will be showcased for the first time at the AURUS stand.

Creating a luxury brand for the global automotive market is a complex task, and large number of serious components that make it up must be taken into account in doing so. The development and production of vehicles of this class comes with the most stringent requirements. For the first time in Russia, luxury cars have been developed and created from scratch for mass production, while the line of AURUS models is based on a single platform, the cars are equipped with contemporary technologies and materials.

The AURUS SENAT Limousine L700 and AURUS SENAT S600 models represent luxury combined with innovation. The association with luxury can be traced in the timeless design, combined with the latest engineering developments and the very best materials. The highest quality, impeccability in details, luxurious style and dynamics, the use of innovative technologies, compliance with environmental protection requirements - these are the core values of the AURUS luxury brand, which are implemented in all models.

"At the moment, the establishment of processes to increase production is key to the development of the AURUS brand. The prospects of the brand are clear, the priorities include attracting official Russian and foreign trade partners and, in general, rolling out AURUS cars to international markets," said Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The cars of the AURUS line were designed both in the armoured version, and without special protection. Production of both models is starting at the same time. Within the framework of the European premiere, AURUS SENAT Limousine L700, which is being released only in an armoured version, and AURUS SENAT S600 in the standard version are being presented.

The best Russian designers and engineers have created cars that meet the highest requirements of the luxury segment. Exclusive design solutions are applied in the AURUS cars, which allow achieving the highest parameters. The AURUS SENAT Limousine L700 and AURUS SENAT S600 models offer a combination of all-wheel drive

and a hybrid installation, which is designed to meet the climatic and road conditions in Russia. This allows ensuring the maximum possible level of comfort and safety of the passengers during any conditions of use. The powerful V8 engine created by Russian engineers specifically for AURUS vehicles works in tandem with a no less productive electric motor. It fees the AURUS SENAT Limousine L700 models with a weight of about 6.9 tonnes to accelerate up to 100 km/hr in 9 seconds. The AURUS SENAT S600 sedan with a lower weight per unit of power takes only six seconds for this. In accordance with international safety requirements, AURUS vehicles are equipped with all necessary active and passive safety systems, including ADAS (advanced driver assistant system), electronic stability control, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking system, collision avoidance system with recognition pedestrians, the system of recognition of road signs, a system for tracking blind spots and others that allow you to avoid accidents on the road.

For AURUS cars, the broadest individualisation options are provided. Perfection of possible design solutions in new Russian cars in accordance with the wishes of future owners is almost limitless. In dialogue with designers and engineers, AURUS cars can be assembled to represent the character and personality of their owner.

AURUS cars have been available for pre-orders in Russia since August 2018, and they have been accepted by AURUS. Official trade partners of the AURUS brand, Automobile Group AVILON and Panavto, started accepting pre-orders for AURUS cars from 15 February 2019.

Currently, FGUP NAMI is engaged in the production of AURUS cars on the basis of its own facilities located in Moscow. At the same time, the volumes are limited, since production is organised according to the contemporary manufacture type, manually, according to individual measures and with the highest quality.

The business plans of OOO AURUS include the development and creation of additional production capacities together with the industrial partner PJSC SOLLERS. This project is expected to be implemented by the end of 2020 at a new car plant in Tatarstan, Russia, which will increase the mass production of all AURUS models to 5,000 per year in single-shift operation.
