In an era increasingly defined by hybridisation, electrification, and digital intervention, Garagisti & Co. has chosen a different path. The new British marque has unveiled its debut model, the GP1 — a fully analogue hypercar built from the ground up with no concessions to trend or compromise.
A Pure Driver’s Machine
The GP1 is defined by its engineering first principles: a carbon monocoque chassis, a naturally aspirated 6.6-litre V12 producing 800 hp at 9,000 rpm, and a 6-speed manual gearbox from Xtrac. Developed entirely from a blank canvas, the GP1 will be produced in an ultra-limited run of just 25 road cars, each hand-finished to its commissioner’s exact specification.
At 1,000 kg dry, the GP1 is unapologetically light, blending brutal performance with the balance and tactility that only a purist’s layout can deliver.
Design with Soul and Purpose
Penned by Angel Guerra — whose portfolio includes work for Bugatti and Rimac — the GP1 draws inspiration from the icons of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s, while avoiding direct retro pastiche. Customers have noted visual echoes of the Lancia Stratos Zero, the Lamborghini Countach, and Gandini’s most celebrated work.
The form is both sensual and functional. Above the beltline, sculptural surfaces celebrate the golden age of the wedge; below, a motorsport-driven aerodynamic package incorporates one of the largest rear diffusers ever fitted to a road car, delivering genuine ground-effect performance.
A Cabin Without Distraction
Inside, the GP1 stays true to its analogue ethos. The twin-cockpit layout is free from unnecessary screens and superfluous features. Ventilation is seamlessly integrated, every control placed with purpose. The aim: to connect driver and machine without interference.
Grand Tourer and Track Weapon
While the GP1 is engineered for unfiltered performance, it is also a true road car. Ride comfort, measured cabin acoustics, and usable luggage space make it a capable GT tourer. Push harder, and it transforms — raw, visceral, and alive.
Price, Exclusivity, and the ‘Open Doors’ Programme
The GP1 starts at £2.45 million plus taxes and shipping, reflecting its bespoke development and limited run. The first 12 commissioners will gain unprecedented access to the engineering process through the “Open Doors” programme — a series of intimate gatherings across the UK and Europe where clients can engage directly with the people building their car.
A Vision from the Founders
Co-founder Mario Escudero summarises the ethos behind the marque:
“What if the golden age of analogue supercars never ended? What if icons like the Countach Evoluzione had sparked a lineage rather than a dead-end? What would the great cars of the ‘80s, ‘90s and early 2000s look like today if they’d evolved with new technology but kept their analogue soul? The GP1 is our answer.”
The Garagisti & Co. GP1 is now in advanced stages of engineering and production, with development taking place in the heartland of British motorsport. Further updates will follow as the car approaches completion — a rare modern hypercar designed not to chase trends, but to honour the unfiltered joy of driving.
