In a world where supercars are becoming ever more digital and complex, Anthony Jannarelly's Art Machines introduces the Ælla-60—an automotive masterpiece that dares to go against the tide. Melding the raw spirit of 1960s endurance racers with cutting-edge modern engineering, this limited-production supercar promises an unparalleled analog driving experience.
A New Kind of Supercar for 2025
The Ælla-60 is not just another high-performance machine; it is a celebration of simplicity, lightness, and sheer desirability. At its heart lies a mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 480 bhp V8, paired with a traditional “H” pattern gearbox, ensuring an immersive and visceral connection between car and driver. Built around an aluminum chassis optimized for balance and agility, the Ælla-60 delivers driving purity that is increasingly rare in today's automotive landscape.
Priced at 865,000 euros, production is limited to just sixty units, with deliveries commencing in 2026. The first five buyers will earn the prestigious title of 'founding members,' granting them exclusive involvement in the car’s development and commercial launch.
Beyond Restomod: A Visionary Approach
Rather than following the conventional restomod formula—where classic cars are modernized—Jannarelly’s vision takes a bold new path. The Ælla-60 starts with a sports car from the 1990s as its base, leveraging the homologation and reliability credentials of an existing platform. However, it is wrapped in an entirely original, retro-futuristic body sculpted through a design process akin to that of a full-fledged OEM manufacturer.
Inside, the Ælla-60 embraces minimalism while maintaining essential modern features. The cockpit is fully customizable, using premium heritage materials alongside contemporary necessities such as air conditioning and mobile connectivity. This results in a machine that is both nostalgic and relevant, embodying the best of past and present.
Engineering Excellence with Podium Advanced Technologies
To bring this ambitious vision to life, Art Machines is in discussions with Podium Advanced Technologies, a firm renowned for its work on small-series performance vehicles, including the Glickenhaus SCG 007C, Lancia Delta Futurista, Eccentrica Diablo, and Porsche 928 Nardone. This collaboration ensures that the Ælla-60 is engineered to the highest standards, combining the romance of classic GTs with modern-day performance and reliability.
From Concept to Reality
Unveiled in digital form, the Ælla-60 will make its public debut at the Paris Rétromobile show (February 5-9, 2025) at Stand Asphalt Classics Hall 1, P112. Enthusiasts and collectors will get an exclusive glimpse at Jannarelly’s latest creation—a car that embodies his relentless pursuit of automotive purity.
Anthony Jannarelly: The Mastermind Behind the Machine
Anthony Jannarelly is no stranger to creating dream machines. Best known for designing the Lykan HyperSport (famously featured in Fast and Furious 7) and the Fenyr SuperSport for W Motors, he later ventured into manufacturing with the Jannarelly Design-1. His experience spans collaborations with Italdesign, Magna Steyr, and Ruf, and his recent work on Caterham’s Project V earned him a German Design Award. Now, with Art Machines, he seeks to redefine the supercar landscape with a philosophy that blends artistic expression and mechanical purity.
A New Era for Automotive Icons
Art Machines by Anthony Jannarelly is more than just a car brand—it is a movement. Positioned between a design studio and an automotive label, it aims to create future classics by involving customers directly in the development process. The Ælla-60 is only the beginning, with more limited-series models to follow, each designed to recapture the emotional connection that modern supercars often lack.
For those who long for an era when driving was an art form, the Ælla-60 offers an invitation—to step back into the golden age of motoring, reimagined for the future.
