having dropped the last teaser of the roadster model, avatar sportscars unveiled their brand new model at the autosport international this weekend.
the roadster 250 is new incarnation of the marlin 5exi made by the parent company marlin sports cars. avatar's version is a super lightweight track-focused machine. this spartan vehicle will offer much adrenaline for racing fans. let's see at the numbers. 250bhp 2.0 ecoboost engine coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. total dry weight of only 695kg. quick math and we get 360hp/ton as a power-to-weight ratio. this puts the avatar roadster one step closer to the supercar territory. the promised 230+ km/h top speed as well as 4 seconds-beating acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is a nice match too!
first deliveries will be made before the summer and the company plans to build no more than 25 examples of the roadster by the end of 2017. this is going to be a bonkers gun on the track so make sure to jump into the seat of one!
