Donkervoort teases D8 GTO Bilster Berg Edition for 2015

Dec 30, 2015

Donkervoort has issued the following press release:

2014 was a fantastic and eventful year for Donkervoort. At the beginning of the year the last Premium GTOs were delivered to their owners, the company was expanded with the opening of a new branch on a fantastic circuit in Germany and various comparison tests conducted by renowned European auto magazines were passed with flying colours. The D8 GTO was even featured in the latest racing game from the popular Forza Motorsport series for Microsoft Xbox.

The unique location of the new Donkervoort branch in Germany created the opportunity for extensive testing and development at the Bilster Berg circuit in 2014. This resulted not only in setting the lap record for street-legal production cars, but also in various new developments and updates for the D8 GTO. These were immediately tested and deployed in the test car that was used during various ‘Supertests’ for important auto magazines in the Netherlands, France and Germany. To the big surprise of many car journalists and test drivers, this D8 GTO clocked the fastest lap times and on more than one occasion left all the other ‘Supercar’ competitors in its dust.

In honour of these achievements in 2014, and based on the ‘record-breaking test car’ described above, Donkervoort is introducing a special edition of this D8 GTO in 2015: the Donkervoort GTO Bilster Berg Edition. All the new developments and updates come together in this new edition of the GTO. The Bilster Berg Edition will be particularly recognisable thanks to the unique design of the nose, and will be made in a limited series of 14 cars, a number that represents the successful year 2014.

The D8 GTO Bilster Berg Edition goes into production in 2015. More information will follow soon.
