Greyhound was an American automobile brand that operated briefly between 1914 and 1916. The brand originated from the Toledo Cyclecar Company, based in Toledo, Ohio, where it was first introduced as a cyclecar. The Greyhound was marketed as "The Aristocrat of Cyclecars" and featured characteristics typical of light cars, including a four-cylinder water-cooled engine with a power output of 14 to 18 horsepower, a sliding gearbox, and shaft drive.

In 1915, the company relocated to Kalamazoo, Michigan, and continued production under the name States Motor Car Company, although the vehicle retained the Greyhound name. During this period, the car underwent significant changes, including the introduction of a larger engine. The design evolved to offer a two-seater roadster with side-by-side seating or a five-seater tourer configuration.

By 1916, the Greyhound name was officially changed to States, marking the end of the Greyhound brand's brief existence in the automotive market. Despite its short production run, the Greyhound represented an early attempt to blend the features of cyclecars with those of light automobiles.
