Globe-Union was an American company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that primarily focused on battery production. Founded around 1979, the company ventured into the automotive sector by developing several experimental electric vehicles.
Among its notable projects was the Globe-Union Maxima, a prototype station wagon designed to serve as a test bed for electric vehicle technology. Another significant model was the Endura, a four-seater sedan characterized by its fiberglass body. The Endura was constructed by McKEE Engineering and featured a lightweight chassis that accommodated 20 lead-acid batteries. This design included a battery tray that could slide out for easier maintenance. The vehicle was powered by a 25-horsepower motor, reflecting the company's innovative approach to electric vehicle design during its operational period.
