Electra Manufacturing Co. was an American automobile manufacturer based in Los Angeles, California, that operated briefly from 1914 to 1915. The company specialized in electric vehicles, offering a single model during its short existence.
The primary product of Electra was a two-seater roadster designed to resemble a traditional petrol car. This model was available in two variants: the Model C and the Model D. The Model C featured a 90-inch (2284 mm) wheelbase and was priced at $750, while the Model D, with a 96-inch (2436 mm) wheelbase, was offered at $1,250. The key distinction between the two models was the additional batteries in the Model D, which provided a range of 75 miles compared to the 40 miles offered by the Model C.
Despite its innovative approach to electric vehicles, Electra Manufacturing Co. ceased operations shortly after its inception, leaving behind a brief but notable contribution to the early electric car market.
