Dunham Coach Corporation was established around 1982 in Boonton, New Jersey. The company specialized in the production of kit cars, which were designed to resemble luxury vehicles. One of its notable creations was a boxy kit car that bore a resemblance to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, although it featured distinct proportions and was designed as a two-door vehicle.

The Dunham kit car was built on a 98-inch (2487 mm) wheelbase and measured 185.3 inches (4703 mm) in length. It utilized running gear sourced from the Chevrolet Corvette, powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine. In addition to this model, Dunham Coach Corporation also produced another custom vehicle known as the Caballista. This model was characterized by its prominent chrome grille, rectangular headlights, and angular top design, further showcasing the company's focus on distinctive automotive styling.
