Duloux Motors Ltd was an American kit car manufacturer based in Castro Valley, California. The company specialized in producing replicas of classic automobiles, most notably the 1937 Cord 812. To create their version of this vintage car, Duloux acquired the tooling from The Classic Factory, which had been manufacturing similar replicas since 1981.
The Duloux kit was designed to be compatible with General Motors chassis and V8 running gear from the years 1978 to 1983. This approach allowed for a blend of classic aesthetics with more modern mechanical components, enhancing the drivability of the replica. The body molds used for the kits were crafted from an original Cord 812, ensuring that the details and proportions of the replica were accurate and true to the original design.
Duloux offered their vehicles in both kit form, allowing enthusiasts to assemble the car themselves, and as fully assembled units, catering to a range of customers interested in classic car ownership.
