DAC, or Detroit Air-Cooled Car Company, was established in 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. The company aimed to produce air-cooled automobiles and made its debut at the Detroit Automobile Show, where it showcased a touring car. Following this introduction, DAC had ambitious plans for substantial annual production.
Initially, DAC manufactured its vehicles in Detroit, but soon relocated to a new factory in Wayne, Michigan. During its brief operational period, the company produced over 100 units of its air-cooled six-cylinder cars, which were available in both open and closed body styles. However, despite the initial promise, DAC ceased operations in 1923, marking the end of its production run.
