De Luxe Motor Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer that operated from 1906 to 1909. The company was initially established in Toledo, Ohio, where it produced high-quality and expensive vehicles. In 1908, the company relocated to Detroit, Michigan, which was becoming a significant hub for the automotive industry.
The De Luxe Motor Car Company was known for its premium offerings, with the 1907 Model A featuring a 50-horsepower four-cylinder engine and priced at $4,750 for a seven-passenger tourer. This model exemplified the brand's commitment to luxury and performance. Following the move to Detroit, the company expanded its lineup to include a limousine/landaulette priced at $5,000.
In 1909, the company introduced models that boasted 50 to 60 horsepower, including a seven-passenger limousine priced at $6,250. The De Luxe Motor Car Company was led by president Nathan M. Kaufman, who merged his company with that of C.H. Blomstrom, a manufacturer of the Blomstrom and Queen automobiles. After the company's closure, the factory previously used by De Luxe was repurposed for the production of Flanders automobiles.
