Basson's Star was an American automobile brand established in 1956 by Basson’s Industries Corp., located in the Bronx, New York. The brand was notable for producing a unique three-wheeled vehicle characterized by its single front wheel and a stylish fiberglass two-seater body.
The vehicle was powered by a single-cylinder, two-stroke Ilo engine, which contributed to its lightweight design and efficiency. The design and promotion of the Basson's Star were spearheaded by Gil d’Andrea, who aimed to create an innovative and appealing option in the automotive market.
Despite its distinctive design and engineering, Basson's Star did not achieve widespread recognition and remains a lesser-known name in the history of American automotive manufacturing.
