Automecca

AutoMecca was an American vehicle manufacturer based in Tujunga, California, known for producing a distinctive small van derived from the Brubaker Box design.

The company began building the Brubaker Box, offering it both as a complete vehicle and in kit form. It later renamed the model the Roamer Sport Van, and the vehicle achieved modest sales success under this new name. Each Roamer was built according to individual customer specifications, allowing for a degree of customization not typically found in mass-produced vehicles of the era.

In addition to the standard Roamer, AutoMecca introduced an off-road variant known as the Baja Box, intended for more rugged use and recreational off-road driving.

In 1977, the company underwent a reorganization and relocated its operations to Chatsworth, California. Over the course of production, AutoMecca is estimated to have built as many as 1,500 Roamer vehicles, making it a small but notable player in the American specialty and kit vehicle market of the period.
