Alpena Motor Car Company was an American automobile manufacturer based in Alpena, Michigan, operational from 1911 to 1914. The company produced a conventional automobile known as the Alpena Flyer, which featured a 30 horsepower four-cylinder engine. Alpena's offerings were limited to four open models, as the company did not produce any closed body styles during its brief existence.
In 1913, Alpena expanded its engine options by introducing a 50 horsepower six-cylinder engine sourced from Rutenber. Despite this innovation, the company faced financial difficulties and ultimately filed for bankruptcy in February 1914.
Alpena vehicles were also marketed in Canada under the names Canada Tourist and Canada Roadster, distributed by Canadian Motors based in Galt, Ontario. While some sources suggest that these models were manufactured in Galt, it is more likely that they were imported from Alpena, Michigan.
