Adelphia was an American automobile brand established in 1920 by the Winfield Barnes Company, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The brand was created with the intention of producing a light car primarily for the export market.
The Adelphia featured a four-cylinder Herschell-Spillman engine and was exclusively available as a right-hand drive five-seater tourer. The vehicle was priced at $1,695, which was a competitive rate for the time. However, production of the Adelphia was limited, and the company faced financial difficulties shortly after its announcement. By October 1920, it became evident that the Winfield Barnes Company lacked the necessary capital to sustain operations, leading to the brand's quick decline.
