Godsal was a British automotive brand that emerged in the mid-1930s, specifically in 1935. The brand was founded by Charles Godsal, who aimed to create a unique hybrid vehicle that combined elements from both British and American automotive engineering.

The Godsal prototype featured a Ford V8 engine paired with a preselector gearbox, which was a notable design choice at the time. Additionally, the vehicle showcased a two-seater sports body designed by Corsica, contributing to its aesthetic appeal. The prototype was assembled by Research Engineers Ltd, based in London, and it remains in existence today as a testament to the brand's brief foray into the automotive market.

Despite the innovative design and engineering, Godsal faced significant financial challenges that ultimately hindered the brand's development. The lack of funding prevented Charles Godsal from advancing his vision and following in the footsteps of other successful Anglo-American manufacturers, such as Sydney Allard. As a result, Godsal's ambitions in the automotive industry were never fully realized.
