Duchess was a low-volume British car project associated with M.F. Cawley, based in Arundel, Sussex.
The marque was linked to a single model, the Duchess Arunville, which was advertised in 1984. This 2+2 roadster drew styling inspiration from the MG Magna and featured a body built from aluminium over marine plywood, mounted on Triumph Herald and Vitesse running gear, using engines and mechanicals sourced from those models.
Despite being advertised, it was considered highly unlikely that the Arunville ever entered actual production, and no substantial evidence of built examples has been recorded.
