Cygnet

Cygnet Cars Ltd. was a British automotive manufacturer that operated from 1982 to 1985. The company was based in Kislingbury, Northamptonshire, before relocating to Wootton, Northamptonshire. Cygnet Cars was known for producing the Cygnet Monaco, a kit car that was based on the Ford Cortina platform.

The Cygnet Monaco featured a distinctive design characterized by an upward-sloping front end and a concave roof, which received mixed reviews for its aesthetics. Despite its controversial styling, the model found a market, and a number of units were sold during its production run. The vehicle's design included an Aston Martin-style grille, reflecting the background of its creator, who had connections to the renowned manufacturer based in Newport Pagnell.

In addition to the Monaco, Cygnet Cars showcased a traditional-style roadster in 1983, although this model did not progress to production. The company ultimately ceased operations in 1985, leaving behind a brief but notable legacy in the kit car segment of the automotive industry.
