Clan was a Northern Irish automotive manufacturer that attempted to revive the Clan Crusader model in 1984. This revival took place in Belfast and featured several modifications from the original design, including wider wheel arches and retractable headlights. The new version of the Crusader was powered by a Hillman Imp engine, which was primarily produced for industrial applications. Additionally, the Clan 'Clover' variant utilized running gear from the Alfasud.
Despite initial support from local authorities, the company faced significant financial difficulties. The situation worsened when allegations surfaced in the media regarding the sale of second-hand parts as new. Ultimately, the project was short-lived, with only about 40 units of the revived Clan Crusader being produced before the company ceased operations.
