Beauford

1985-2017

Brand Data

Beauford Cars was a British automobile manufacturer based in Upholland, Lancashire. The company specialized in producing neo-classic vehicles, which became notable for their unique design and appeal. The initial models featured a Mini bodyshell mounted on a large ladder chassis, characterized by flowing wings and an elongated bonnet.

The most recognized model from Beauford was a plastic-bodied two-door open tourer. These vehicles utilized mechanical components from the Ford Cortina, with engine options that included Ford's 4-cylinder and V6 engines, Nissan's straight-6, or the Rover V8. Beauford also offered various body styles, including a 4-door saloon and a 4-door tourer, with a 'long body' variant that provided additional legroom, catering primarily to wedding hire companies.

By 1998, Beauford Cars had produced over 1,000 vehicles, establishing a presence in the niche market of classic-style automobiles.
