Barrett was a British manufacturer based in Bath, active from approximately 1948 to the early 1960s. The company specialized in producing invalid tricycles, which were designed to provide mobility solutions for individuals with disabilities.

The initial models featured conventional tiller steering and were powered by 250cc single-cylinder Villiers engines, equipped with 3-speed gearboxes. One notable model was the Barrett Model 41, introduced in 1949, which catered to users weighing up to 20 stone and living in hilly areas.

In the mid-1950s, Barrett expanded its offerings with the Model 58 Barrett Minor, which featured a fully-enclosed fibreglass coupé body designed for smaller individuals with limited arm reach. This was followed by the Model 60 Barrett Midget, which was intended for users up to 4 feet 6 inches tall. The Midget also utilized a fibreglass body but was designed as a convertible with a canvas hood, enhancing its versatility for users.
