Argson was an automotive manufacturer based in the United Kingdom, founded in 1919 by A.R. Garnett and S.O. Needham. Initially, the company specialized in the production of hand-propelled invalid tricycles. In 1922, Argson expanded its offerings by introducing its first powered vehicle, the Beaufort, which was equipped with a 172cc engine designed and manufactured in-house. The following year, they launched an electric model featuring a 24-volt battery and three forward speeds.

Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Argson became one of the largest manufacturers of invalid tricycles in Britain, known for their distinctive design that typically included a single front wheel. During this period, the company also produced several powered models, with the 147cc Villiers two-stroke engine being the most popular choice, utilized in models such as the Standard, De Luxe, and Runnymede.

In 1949, Argson received a significant order from the Ministry of Health, indicating their prominence in the market. However, in the early 1950s, the company was acquired by HARPER Engineering, which subsequently relocated production to Exeter Airport and continued to develop new models under its own brand name.
