A.F. Sports was a British automobile manufacturer that operated in two distinct periods: from 1987 to 1990 and again from 1994 to 1996. The company was based in Coventry, England, and its origins can be traced back to the Burlington Berretta, although the design of the A.F. Sports vehicles underwent significant modifications.
The A.F. Sports vehicles featured a space frame chassis designed to accommodate various Ford running gear and other components. Engine options were diverse, including units from Fiat and Toyota, particularly twin-cam engines. The bodywork of the cars was primarily constructed from aluminum, complemented by fiberglass wings, and was available in both 2-seater and 2+2 configurations.
Despite the innovative design and engineering, production of A.F. Sports vehicles was limited, with approximately 40 units manufactured before the company ceased operations. The brand saw a brief revival later, utilizing mechanical components from the Ford Sierra.
