Established in 1981 by Bruce Turnbull in Feilding, New Zealand, the firm launched production of race cars in 1983. Since 1992 the Saker coupe has been built by special order and was offered in versions designated for driving on public roads: the SVS GT (with a Subaru 2.0-liter 220 hp unit), SVS GT-R (Subaru 2.0-liter 265–354 hp) and SV1 (Subaru 2.0-liter 300–450 hp) or – for racing: the SVS GT-R (Subaru 2.0-liter 354 hp) and SVS GTA (Subaru 2.0-liter 300–450 hp). As of 1981 the SVS Sprint roadster with a Subaru 2.0-liter 220–265hp plant has been built and in June 2004 the new RSC Extreme coupe premiered with a 3.0-liter 260 hp or turbo 3.0-liter 500 hp engine.
