Baby Cobra was a Japanese specialist kit-car marque that produced scaled-down replicas of the AC/Shelby Cobra using the Suzuki Cappuccino kei roadster as its donor platform, selling Cappuccino-based rebody builds that retained the donor’s compact mechanicals while adopting Cobra-style open-roadster bodywork and detailing; period coverage also described a closed-roof Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe–style variant promoted as part of the same miniature-replica concept. Contemporary reporting characterized the cars as niche, low-volume conversions rather than series production, with pricing reported in the high single-digit millions of yen and optional performance tuning packages that could raise output well beyond typical kei-car levels despite the small-displacement turbo three-cylinder origins.
