Alta was a Greek automobile manufacturer based in Athens, operational from 1968 until 1977. The company emerged following the financial difficulties of the ATTICA project, taking the opportunity to modify and improve upon the existing designs. One of the notable features of Alta vehicles was the more angular rear bodywork, which allowed for a more spacious 2+2 seating arrangement.
The company utilized a 198cc Sachs engine, producing 10 horsepower, which became a defining characteristic of their models. Despite being a significant player in the Greek motor industry during its time, Alta's appeal began to diminish even within the protectionist market of Greece. The production of Alta vehicles continued until 1977, marking the end of the brand's presence in the automotive sector. In addition to their standard offerings, Alta also produced an open three-wheeler and a larger enclosed three-wheeler powered by a BMW 700 engine.
